It is a known fact that very soon after forming government, the TRS party in Telangana state announced creation of a new film city near Hyderabad. This initiative also posed a threat for the already existing Ramoji Film City owned by Ramoji Rao.
Although it was widely welcomed by film fraternity especially by some money big producers as a nice gesture, nevertheless sources say that this move was ostensibly done to end the monopoly of Kamma filmmakers and fraternity.
KCR reportedly feels that their money power and influence is the backbone for TDP which is enough to challenge TRS by 2019 polls. And this move of film city was a jolt to the caste biggies. In a way, this is a wakeup call to TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu.
Sources say that in return for the film city plan to be dropped there are some hectic negotiations with TRS leadership and in return they have more or less decided to be neutral and not work against TRS interests hereafter.
