Telangana government is gearing up for the second phase of Intensive Household Survey. In this phase, the government intends to carry out the survey of those families which are not covered in the first phase of elections that took place on 19th of this month. It is said that the exact dates of this second phase survey will be finalized very soon by the government appointed committee. This phase of Survey will be different from the earlier Survey. In this phase, enumerators will not visiting the houses as on August 19th. People who are not covered in the first phase will be asked to come to designated centers and get enrolled. Government is planning to setup two to five centers in each ward to ensure every family is covered. Unlike the first phase, the survey in the second phase will take place for three days. The first phase of the Telangana Survey has covered more than 1 Crore families across the state. The Intensive Household Survey of Telangana, the country's biggest state-level Survey ever has covered more than 1 Crore families in the 10 districts of the new state. About 4 Lakh employees with the help of several students and staff of various private organizations for the Survey on that day. Government has taken up this survey so as to eliminate duplicates in the government welfare schemes and make sure that beneficiaries are identified with out any discrepancies.
