It has more or less become a norm in AP when MLA’s suddenly face death that their kin contest unanimously and they get elected unopposed. This trend has been followed irrespective of whichever party is in power.
Similarly, YSRCP announced it will not contest from Nandigama seat where there will be by election soon due to the untimely demise of its MLA Thangirala Prabhakar. His daughter Soumya was expected to be elected unopposed.
But the Congress party which doesn’t have even one MLA in the house is fielding a candidate which has attracted criticism all over. Now although Jagan is not placing a candidate, since anyway there will be elections, there are speculations.
Many are wondering whether Jagan would indirectly support Congress to give a tough fight or even trounce TDP, given the negative vibes between him and Babu which has now reached an all time high.
