Telangana Government’s conditions are going on election promise of Waiving of Loans. Initially, Government wants to waive the farmer loan up to One Lakh without framing time bound. After that, Telangana Government is in thought of putting condition up to March 31st, 2014. Waiving of Loans to Farmers took many turns in Telangana state.
RBI was agreed for rescheduling of loans in three districts Adilabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak. There is no clarity on reschedule of other 6 districts in the state. Telangana Government asked the farmers to pay loans 30K along with interest to reschedule new loans to them. Telangana Government has clueless in handling to waive loans having more than 30K.
Telangana Government wants to issue Bonds to the Farmers so that Government wants to build confidence among the farmers on rescheduling new loans from the banks. Later Government was withdraw the idea of issuing bonds because of bearing huge credit it its account. Many irregularities have come up in preparing the list of the farmers in Telangana.
