Victory and defeat is normal in politics. However, after defeat, one has to regain strength and try to gain in all areas. But it looks like the YSRCP boss Jagan doesn’t seem to be doing that. This is causing a bit of worry in his camp.
The Telangana assembly session last month was a witness to how many leaders from different parties like Errabelli, Shabbir Ali heaped praises on the late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy for fulfilling all his promises after coming to power.
But looks like in order to see TDP decimated in Telangana, Jagan is lending his indirect support to TRS. Such a thing is fine temporarily, but what is puzzling is that Jagan has more or less given up in this region.
Despite corruption charges or any other issue, the farmers in TS saw free power promise being fulfilled immediately after Congress coming to power in 2004 unlike TRS here or TDP in AP which have been dragging their feet on farm loan waiver. Jagan should have captured YSR’s legacy in TS, many analysts feel than leaving the party to crumble.
