TDP President CBN was proudly announced that TDP will rise to National level after the division of the state. It seems that CBN wish might not fulfill for many technical reasons. A political party becomes eligible as National party on three conditions. The party has won 2 per cent of seats in the Lok Sabha (11 seats) from at least three different states in the latest general election. In an election to the Lok Sabha or Legislative Assembly, the party has polled 6 per cent of the total valid votes in at least four states, in addition to winning four Lok Sabha seats. A party has got recognition as a state party in at least four states. After 2014 general elections, four parties were in danger to lose their national status. CPI, CPI(M), BSP and NCP. These four parties don’t fulfill any of these three conditions. Recently, TDP Politburo has long discussion to change the status of TDP from regional to National. TDP has strong in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. CBN wants to extend the party in Maharashtra, Karnataka and TN states where huge number of Telugu people lived in. Politburo has decided to set up a committee for elevating the status of the party. The team will study all necessary things to rise. Yenamala, Payyavula and Ravula are the members of the committee. Party seniors have opined that it’s necessary to get hold in two states strongly before getting into other states.
