Yesterday, it was a big event for the coastal city of Vizag in its endeavor to emerge as the business capital of Andhra Pradesh and also as per CM Chandrababu Naidu’s vision, as the second economic capital after Mumbai in India. As a first start, there were CEOs of at least 400 companies who attended the event in the city which also included setting up of a start up village. It was also the day where Google announced its agreement with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This is for ushering a digital revolution. At the same time the insider news is that as part of its efforts to expand further, Google may announce one of its biggest campuses to come up very soon in Vishakapatnam. If this materializes, it could be a huge boost for IT sector in Andhra Pradesh. Already, Chandrababu Naidu is focusing on making Vizag as the next IT hub and it could be a new rival for Hyderabad. The results will be seen in the coming years.
