With HUDHUD cyclone, both Power and Telecom sectors were severely affected in three districts. AP Chief Minister CBN had reviewed the situation minute to minute and makes things to set right in two sectors. He had successes in restoring 80% Power in Vizag for all domestic and commercial purposes. But he didn’t success enough in restoring the Telecom services in the city.
Except Government BSNL, no other Private Telecom companies have worked in Vizag. Even their representatives haven’t showed much interest to attend the review meeting conducted by Chief Minister CBN. This made Chief Minister angry and ordered police to arrest the Telecom operators and brought them to review meeting. CBN is getting angry for their reluctances to restore the services after HUDHUD. He said that Private Telecome companies always think on generating incomes with their Ads but they don’t have service oriented approach towards people.
Airtel has very good market in both AP and Telangana. Knowing the aggressiveness of the Chief Minister Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal was met the CBN yesterday and gave the explanation to CM. Mittal said that Airtel network would re-established 85% it’s services by the end of the October 17th. Airtel services would reach entire villages by this Sunday. Adding to that, Mittal said that he took initiative to talk with other Private Telecom Companies in restoring their services.
