There may be not much difference in terms of the approach of Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) led by firebrand Raj Thackeray and the TRS led by KCR. Raj Thackeray has always criticized the North Indians in Maharashtra and especially in Mumbai.
He reportedly alleged they are ideally responsible for the backwardness of the Maratha population. On the other hand, KCR has always directed his angst against the Seemandhra people. Their core objective is the same, to attain political power. This strategy has paid off for KCR, but for Raj Thackeray it had failed to work.
The people of Maharashtra refused to endorse Raj Thackeray’s hatred politics and division against their fellow men, and voted overwhelmingly favoring Modi taking up the politics of development and inclusiveness.
MNS could just secure one seat out of 288 and today the people of Andhra feel that if Telangana people were as mature as those of Maharashtra, then the progress of both states would have been different!
