TRS regime has reportedly taken control of the cash deposits meant for both states that are in the bank accounts of AP Foods, National Academy of Construction and Tourism and Hospitality Institute and the National Institute of Electronics. While those under the 9th Schedule of AP bifurcation act needs to be immediately divided between the two states, for those organizations which come under 10th Schedule, one year’s time has to be given for completing the division process. Sources say that nearly Rs 12,000 crore belonging to such organizations now lay in the bank accounts of Hyderabad in addition to the fixed deposits for undisclosed amounts which lie in about 26 banks in Hyderabad. Now, sources say that both the cash-strapped states are completely engaged in transferring the cash from the individual bank accounts so that they could utilize the same. It has to be seen how this issue is going to be sorted.
