The Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have displayed no signs of any reconciliation on the ongoing power sharing issues with the TDP government reportedly informing the Centre that the residuary state has only a share of 23.84 percent of the power. This is with regards to the Krishnapatnam thermal power plant in Nellore district, and not 54 percent as being demanded now by the TRS regime. In its communication for the Union power ministry, the AP government reportedly gave some valid information. They have said that even the share of 23.84 percent would be given to TS only after the Krishnapatnam plant is formally commissioned. Currently only 100-200 MW of power is being generated at this plant everyday on trial basis. And the commissioning of the plant is expected only after the commercial operations day (COD) is finalized. Telangana has been demanding that the power should be shared in ratio of 54:46 with the major share going in its favour.
