Panasonic, a Japan-based company, has reportedly expressed its desire to invest in Andhra Pradesh. This is after AP CM Chandrababu Naidu inviting Japanese industrialists to make investments in AP and assuring them that Japanese firms would be welcome to invest. He assured that not only can they avail single window clearance but also a complete single desk clearance, sources say that there is some positive news in the offing. As part of his Japan tour on Tuesday, Babu reportedly held discussions with Panasonic Corporation’s chief Takeshi Uenoyama. Following a video presentation by the CM, Panasonic representative Mr Takeshi, reportedly conveyed to Babu that they are waiting for an invitation from him. Naidu in turn invited Panasonic to explore the immense scope of opportunities in Visakhapatnam. The highlight of the visit was that Naidu was accompanied everywhere by the Indian ambassador to Japan, Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa. If Panasonic indeed comes to Vizag, this would be considered a very big break for future foreign investments in that city.
