Sex Bomb Veena Malik gets a big blow. Veena Malik and her husband were sentenced to 26 years jail term for blasphemy by an Anti Terrorism court.She, along with the owner of Pakistan's biggest media group, Geo TV, and her actor husband Asad Bashir Khan, has been sentenced to 26 years in prison by an anti-terrorism court for allegedly airing a"blasphemous contents" during a TV programme.
The court ordered the arrest of Mir Shakil ur Rehman, the owner the Jang group of publications. Judge Shahbaz Khan sentenced TV host Shaista Wahidi along with Veena Malik and Bashir for 26 years and also imposed a penalty of 1.3 million Pakistani rupees each on all the convicts.
Judge directed authorities to arrest them immediately. The convicts are permitted to appeal in Gilgit Baltistan regional High Court. None of the accused were present in the court at the time of the announcement of the verdict.
In a programme aired by Geo television in May, a mock marriage of Malik with her husband Asad Bashir Khan Khattak was shown in the backdrop of a religious song.
Veena was seen in several Bollywood films and she introduced to B town with a comedy film Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai. The following year, she appeared in the dramedy Zindagi 50-50, Supermodel and the Kannada film Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga which was a box office hit. She also appeared in 2014 horror film Mumbai 125 KM 3D.Malik married to businessman Asad Bashir Khan Khattak in a private ceremony in 2013 in Dubai. The couple gave birth to Abram Khan Khattak on September 23, 2014.
