Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes died in Victoria hospital, Sydney on Thursday, two days after the batsman was struck on the head by a bouncer during a domestic match. Governing body Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed the sad news while ago and CA twitter handle post reads: "We are extremely sad to announce that Phillip Hughes has passed away at the age of 25." Phillip Hughes was rushed to hospital after he was struck by a Sean Abbott bouncer and collapsed during a Sheffield Shield match between South Australia and New South Wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The 25 years old batsman was admitted at St Vincent Hospital after first aide and also had surgery to relieve pressure on his brain caused by internal bleeding. After battling for life for two-days, Phillip succumbed to death on Thursday. What's more heart-wrenching is that Phillip has breathed his last just three days ahead of his 26th birthday. He was going to turn a year older on November 30. News of Hughes death is followed by calls from former Australian team players to abandon the first test match against India in next week.As per reports Cricket Australia likely to dismiss the total test series.
