BJP MLA Prabhu Chavan in Karnataka was reportedly seen busy with his smartphone, watching and zooming into the pictures of Priyanka Gandhi, the daughter of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, in the Assembly yesterday while members were discussing farmers’ problems.
Two years ago, three BJP ministers in Karnataka were caught watching porn in the state legislative assembly. The MLA, representing Aurad in Bidar reportedly said TV channels that they telecast the incident live because he was looking at a slogan in the picture, which featured Priyanka Gandhi.
Mobiles have been banned in the assembly and the MLA says its use for looking at pictures invites a great deal of respect for Priyanka Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi and was not meant to harm them by zooming in on the picture.
State Congress chief G Parameshwara has said that the BJP's mask of respectability had fallen while also condemning the indecent behaviour. With Congress harping on anything they can get, this incident is a treat for them to create enough ruckus against BJP.
