It has 33 KMs distance between Guntur and Vijayawada on road and 36 KMs distance on rail. An estimated cost of 700 crores requires for the completion of the joint execution of the project. The proposal has sent to Railway Board for getting the approval. Trail run had been carried out between Bapatla and Chinaganjam to run the trains at a speed of 130 KMPH to check fitness of the soil.
