Recently Former TDP Senior Leader and MLA, Sanathnagar received a big shock from his own mother. Talasani resigned to TDP membership and Sanathnagar MLA this morning and is taking oath as Minister in Telangana government later today. However his mother, Lalitha Bai is not at all happy with his son's decision of quitting Telugu Desam Party.
"I am very sad for my son parting ways with Chandrababu Naidu and TDP. Chandrababu is like my elder son while Talasani is my younger son. However as a mother, I am happy that Talasani is becoming a minister" Lalitha Bai said to media. Talasani won the last elections contesting on TDP ticket from Sanath Nagar in 2014. He later resigned from the party and joined ruling TRS. Yesterday CM KCR decided to induct Talasani in his cabinet.
TRS hopes that Talasani will bring the crucial Yadav votes in GHMC region to the party. TRS is very weak in GHMC area since its inception due to the presence of huge settler base. TRS just managed to open its account in the region in these elections by managing to win 3 seats there while TDP+BJP still won the majority. Now TRS is looking to win the GHMC elections with the help of alliance with MIM and other party MLAs like Teegala and Talasani.
