Management of two corporate educational institutes is competing for TDP MLC ticket from two Godavari districts. Chairman of Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology and Chaitanya Educational Institutions Chaitanya Raju and Chairman of Pragati Engineering College Krishna Rao are seeking to elect as MLC from Teacher’s segment in Godavari districts.
Chaitanya Raju is sitting MLC whose tenure comes to an end by March’15. He joined in TDP along with other Congress MLCs recently. Chaitanya Raju is selected as Chief Whip in Legislative Council. This gave confident to Chaitanya Raju on getting MLC ticket. He changed the party twice from Congress to TDP and vice versa in his career.
On the other side, Paruchuri Krishna Rao who failed to get TDP ticket for Peddapuram Assembly segment also getting hopes for MLC this time. Reportedly, CBN gave assurance to Krishna Rao in this regard. YSRCP has no candidates to field for Teachers segment. CBN is not yet decide the candidate. It is the question whether he goes to third alternate candidate for MLC.
