The manner in which Congress party rushed through the bifurcation process of Andhra Pradesh is well known and even those parties which supported Telangana cause found fault with it. This was deemed as one of the most unscientific and impractical moves by the Congress led UPA Government.
Earlier in Feb 2014 when the bill was passed in Rajya Sabha, the BJP assured Telugu people that it would amend the bill to make it more transparent and give justice to both Andhra Pradesh & Telangana State.
Now the stage is all set for an amendment to this bill’s clauses and it may get ready in next few weeks. However, the situation is not looking that smooth. This is with Congress insisting on taking its views into account.
And with the expected lobbying from both AP & TS governments to incorporate their favorable provisions and the tension with local BJP units is expected to be giving a nightmare to NDA and PM Narendra Modi.
