With Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu making one mistake after the other, there was an expectation that in the ongoing assembly session from next week, TDP would be ripped apart in the Assembly.
The YSRCP boss and chief opposition leader Jagan was fully geared up to question TDP on farm loan waiver and unilateral moves regarding new capital of AP. But TDP’s pre-conceived strategies and Jagan’s own weaknesses seem to have worked in TDP’s favor.
Half of Jagan’s MLAs including the senior leader Mysoora Reddy have reportedly skipped a key meeting conveyed by Jagan to discuss the way forward for Assembly sessions. Now it has become clear that half of his batch been silently convinced by TDP strategists.
What remains to be seen is if Jagan will be able to stand because he may not able to put up a stiff resistance and Babu would have his way in AP Assembly. If this goes through as is being expected, it would further weaken the position of YSRCP in the eyes of the people.
