One week earlier, first time Rural Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that AP Reorganization Act 2013 is full of loopholes. BJP Government has decided to review the bill and make necessary changes in the bill as per the consent of two states. Venkaiah Naidu said that division of Rajya Sabha members didn’t happened properly. Telangana leaders allocated to AP and vice versa. Finance Minister Arun Jaitely upheld the statement of Venkaiah Naidu and said that there is an error in allocation of number of constituencies to AP in the bill. Jaitely said that the Act showed wrongly the figure of MLCs to AP as 50 instead of exact number 58. The Union Cabinet approved the amendment and raised the seats to 58 in Legislative Council. Jaitely also mentioned that we look into the Rajaya Sabha members soon. It is surprised that TRS has not welcome the decision taken by NDA Government on increasing the number of vacancies in AP Legislative Council. TRS demand that every amendment should do only after the consultation with their party. The elections for around 15-18 MLC seats in AP would likely to taken place in March’15.
