Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has met several CEOs of corporate companies at Davos in Switzerland, on as part of World Economic Forum meeting held there.
Babu had met WalmartCEO David Cheesewright where they have reportedly agreed for five areas of collaboration which also involves sourcing of agri-products from local farmers in AP and establishing the retail outlets all over AP.
In a meeting with Naidu, Wipro chairman Azim Premji reportedly praised Chandrababu that IT-SEZ proposal of the comapny, which was pending for three years was cleared by Babu only in a record time of seven days.
Premji has also agreed to support AP in developing Vizag as a digital city which would be a on pilot project basis and setting up of Santoor soap factory in Hindupur, Anantapur district. Babu also met PepsiCo chairman Indra Nooyi which is planning to set up mango pulp units as well as packaging and branding of coconut water in Konaseema that would benefit coconut farmers in Konaseema region.
