At a time when Congress is unable to stem the series of defections which are happening in the party in both AP and TS, now there is an ultimate shock. There are reports now that Jayanthi Natarajan, an important leader of Congress party from the state of Tamil Nadu has resigned from Congress party. She has reportedly written a letter to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi in November 2014 where she said that undue interference of Rahul Gandhi was seen when she was the Union Environment Minister. Jayanthi also alleged that because she had objected when UPA was in power, she was unceremoniously sacked from the ministry. Failing to get any response, she quit the Congress, Her resignation is being seen a serious setback for Congress party at national level.
