YSRCP leader Prathap Reddy has declared that it will not field any candidate against the TDP candidate Suguna, the wife of late MLA Venkataramana in the coming by-election. However, Congress fielded its candidate Rudraraju Sreedevi against Suguna.
A political analyst said "Although offering support to rival party candidates is not a new phenomena, announcing support to opposite party in public is something bolt out of the blue. That too such announcement coming from YSRCP leaders for TDP candidate is definitely a shocker to many."
