Well, there are two Naidus now in Andhra Pradesh and we are talking about the Naidu of BJP, Venkaiah Naidu who is facing flak like never before in AP. At a time when there were aggressive plans for expanding BJP here, his comments time and again over special status to AP is causing much heartburn among the people and leaders here.
This also includes potential leaders from Congress and YSRCP who were expected to jump into BJP soon who have now refrained and are watching ‘Smear Venkaiah campaign’ in AP with BJP not committing on special status.
Sources say that with a high profile leader and former Congress MP from Amalapuram, Harsh Kumar calling Venkaiah Naidu a political buffoon, this campaign has reached a crescendo.
And the halo he cultivated carefully right from the time he argued in favor of AP during T-bill in Rajya Sabha has now dropped. If things have to get back to shape, Venkaiah has to put some special efforts and regain the faith of the people of AP.
