This news can be surely termed a relief to all the landline and mobile users. According to the Telecom regulator Trai, the tariffs are going to fall more especially in the leading networks. This will also benefit the users and limited network operators like Uninor.
It seems the landline users are going to get benefited more by getting free monthly calls and minutes. However, the termination charge from phones has been reduced from 20 ps per minute to zero and coming to mobiles the charges were reduced to 14ps instead of the earlier 20 ps.
The BSNL network, the country's largest network provider, claimed that the tariffs will fall "substantially". This seems to be profit got the networks like uninor. However, the large networks like Airtel may not welcome the changes.
