Deputy chief minister Mahmood Ali on Tuesday narrated K Chandrasekhar Rao as a secular leader and showered spoke highly of him saying the CM was pursuing in the footsteps of Nizam Osman Ali Khan.

He told the Nizam had furnished assistance to both the Aligarh Muslim University and Hindu Banaras University when they approached him. The deputy chief minister told KCR was giving appropriate importance to both Urdu and Telugu languages.

He was launching a two-day Urdu Festival 2015 arranged by the department of Urdu at Telangana University here. Responding to the representations produced by some student unions, he told the government would view into the matters proposed by them.

He told he would bring to CM's attention, the variation in students' mess bills which is generally Rs 1,050 from the scholarship amount of Rs 860 that is approved to them.He also vowed to take get Rs 100 crore sanctioned for the growth of the university .
