Ahead of the key budget session, Rahul Baba left on a vacation. This has come in for lot of criticism, with even a diehard 10 Janpath loyalist like Digvijay Singh has said that while there was nothing wrong in vacationing, the timing, however, was questionable.
Meanwhile, questions are being raised as to where is Rahul Gandhi. Sources say that he was upset over several of his decisions being overturned by the party and had gone on vacation to register his protest. A Congress leader, identified as Jagadish Sharma posted pics on his Twitter handle that showed Rahul Gandhi vacationing in Uttarakhand. Rahul, in track suits and rim-less glasses, was shown speaking into his phone on a hill top. Another photo shows Rahul’s tent.
Sharma said Rahul did not understand the importance of parliament sessions and needs to be removed from the party. He wants Priyanka Gandhi to take over the reins of the party. However, Congress quickly moved in for damage control. It said the pics posted were of 2008 vintage and that they showed Rahul vacationing in Uttarakhand. The party is, however, tight-lipped as to where is Rahul Gandhi.
