Finally the most awaited budget of the year has come out with not so much appreciable grants but it seems to be a balanced one. The Railway budget was presented by the Union Railway minister, Suresh Prabhu.
Here are a few highlights from the Railway Budget session of 2015: 1.No change in Passenger fares. 2.Replacement of 1700 toilets by Bio toilets. 3. Exclusive helpline number, mobile app 4.To go paper-less and improve the quality of the passenger's time. 5. Wifi facilities to 400 stations. 6.More digitization. 7. SMS alerts to passengers. 8.No new trains! 9.Over night trains to Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. 10. Swach Bharat mission on the rail lines.
However, the budget did not satisfy many but it seem to be an average budget. The happy message about the budget is to know that the fare remains the same without any hike.
The wifi facilities to A1 compartments are welcoming. The new rail lines and death of people on the rail lines are promised to be dealt carefully. So, what do you think is the budget like? Did it reach your expectations?
