There have been fears over land acquisition for AP capital right from the beginning and while this was expected to be a nemesis for Babu if mishandled, it was also a chance for resurrection of Brand Jagan.
There were constant protests and apprehensions from farmer community over their livelihood while AP CM Chandrababu slowly upped the ante with more compensation and more sops, luring farmers into giving their land.
Out of 30,000 acres required during first phase, so far Babu has achieved success by silently acquiring record 25,000 acres within one and half month while the remaining land proved to be a no-go area as riverside farmers protested aided by caste equations against TDP and in favor of YSRCP.
Now with they too falling in line with Chandrababu’s latest package boost, except for some minimum hiccups, which are natural, now Jagan looks like an outsider with no chance to reap any political dividends as planned initially!
