The SC on Thursday told that it will not restrict with its primary direction to Hyderabad HC to conclude appointment of judicial officers for TS and AP within six months. A three-judge bench of Chief Justices told division of judicial body could be made after officers were taken and exercised their option.
The SC on Thursday told that there was no hindrance for the Hyderabad High Court to advance with promotions of judicial officers. Attorney-General Mukul Rohatgi appearing for Telangana presented before the bench that however the court had instructed beginning of the procedure of appointments on January 20.
Such appointments could not be made except the Telangana put in place a separate judicial body. He said the state had registered the present application asking explanation of the January 20 order.
The CJI told the AG that allotment of cadre could be done after the recruitment. The bench, however, issued notice to the Centre, AP and others seeking their response to the application and directed the matter to be listed after Holi vacation.
