Andhra Pradesh bifurcation is history and Telangana is a reality. There is no going back but the manner in which AP’s bifurcation reduced the clout of a state wielding 42 MP’s is clearly seen. Even when AP was united, there was a raw deal for the state.
Now that both states are opposed politically with rival governments, nothing more is needed to describe the apathy facing both states and the recent dismal allocations in budget was more than enough to prove it.
While the statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel got more than 2000 crores and that of Shivaji near Mumbai was given more than 1000 crores, TS and AP would not be mentioned when it comes to ample funds.
This insult had united Rajya MP’s JD Seelam, KVP from AP and MA Khan, V Hanumantha Rao from TS. Although they are all from Congress party, nevertheless their protest against the injustices to Telugu states moved the hearts of those who wanted both states to be friendly and co-operative against a third party!
