Power cuts became part and parcel of entire country and Andhra Pradesh is no different. Situation was little different in united Andhra Pradesh but after the division, both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana faced severe power problems.

This even triggered bitter battles over power and water sharing between the two state governments. However Telagnana CM KCR shocked all by saying new borns in 2018 will not even hear and know the meaning of power cuts. Speaking to media on his visit to Karimnagar,he said with in three years he will ensure new born babeis in 2018 will not hear and experience power cuts.

KCR said by 2017 farmers will get 12 hours uninterrupted power supply from 6AM-6PM and by 2018 Telangana will have surplus power of 23000 MW. Similarly he promised to provide drinking water to all villages by 2019 and vowed not to ask votes if he fail to fulfill his promise.
