The statement made by YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy is a classic case of too little, too late which has now caused more damage to him than the farmers, who have given up their fights and also the land.
Speaking today near the village of Undavalli of proposed AP capital region, Jagan thundered saying he will ensure that the lands are returned to farmers once he comes to power after three years.
Political posturing notwithstanding, Jagan needs to understand certain things. Many are concerned about farmers, but at the same time, playing politics with capital is not advisable. While Naidu has to be condemned for his unilateral decisions regarding capital, now Jagan cannot say he will undo what is being done.
Jagan might have been right if he had said this at the beginning and created a wave but at a time when the foundation ceremony of new capital is only few months away, such statements only serve to highlight his lack of political homework!
