The onslaught against Central government regarding the alleged injustices done to Andhra Pradesh as part of bifurcation assurances is continuing in an unrelenting manner with central ministers facing the heat.

The news of disgust among the people and political parties of Andhra Pradesh regarding the paltry allocation of Rs. 100 crores has already reached Delhi and in this regard, Union water resources minister Uma Bharathi has clarified Centre’s stand.

With reports that TDP might pull plug on NDA, she reportedly summoned a meeting of the main officials involved in Polavaram. Sources say she has reviewed the project and assured them of more funds.

Uma Bharathi later announced that Polavaram would be completed on time, and budgetary allocations are only a formality and centre will make arrangements for additional allocations for the prestigious national project from other sources as well.
