People of Telangana for long fought for separate statehood and finally realised their dreams after lot of struggle last year.When Union Government announced formation of Telangana, entire region erupted with joy. It will be one year on 2nd June and preparations on to celebrate Telangana formation in a grand manner.
However the date falls during summer holidays and according to sources Telangana Government is planning to alter the academic schedule altogether so that schools will remain open on 2nd June and formation day would be celebrated in a spectacular manner.
T CM KCR already asked officials to findout way as ruling NDA govt at Centre too asked schools to function for Unity and Good Governance Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had even aired a speech to school students on Teachers Day.
A source adds “The Chief Minister is very keen that the State Formation Day be celebrated in a grand manner invo-lving school students. We can have competitions, debates, quizzes on the history of TS,” CMO sources inform “The State Formation Day would be in the midst of summer holidays so the schedule has to be changed. We can move it so schools can re-open earlier. But nothing has been finalised. The Chief Minister has asked for the best solution,”
