Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family are developing their media business and will bring English daily in Telangana. Mr. Chandkrasekhar Rao, had successfully launched Namaste Telangana, now a top Telugu daily, and the popular T News Channel during the height of the Telangana movement, will begin publishing an English newspaper titled Telangana Today.
Sources said the CM had been considering with the plan of bringing English daily exclusively for Telangana for a while and made up his mind recently. “It’s true we are coming up with an English daily titled Telangana Today.
It may take two to three months for its formal launch. We will have multiple editions in Telangana in a phased manner and will provide all the coverage Telangana people desire,” a close confidant of the CM told this newspaper.
Currently Namaste Telangana, which started on June 6, 2011, is published from Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar and Nizamabad and the English daily too will start with some of these editions, it is learnt.
