Thunderstorms hit Telangana leaving three killed and damaging acres of crops across the state. Thunderstorms which created fear among people are triggered due to depression on Friday and meteorological deparatment has bad news for people as it forecast more rain and hailstorms for the next three days.
Thunderstorms left lot of destruction in Warangal,Karimnagar and Medak and Hyderabad too witnessed heavy showers in the afternoon. More rains are in store for Telanganites. Lightning struck Velturu village, Sadasivapet mandal, Medak district killing three members of the family and two others injured with severe burns.
A poultry farm collapsed due to heavy rain in Mahabubabad outskirts in Warangal killing 2000 birds. According to met experts interaction between two air currents from nothwestern and southeastern will result in heavy thunder showers across Telangana.
Even Niamabada, Adilabad and Warangal districts witnessed destruction of crops. Farmers rued that their harvested crops were lost due to heavy rains. 3 cm rain lashed Hanamkonda and Janagaon while Warangal witnessed 2 cm rainfall.
