AP Government has decided that Sri Ramanavami festival has officially celebrated in Vontimitta temple. Hardly 10 days to go for Sri Ramanavami festival, Government has not yet started the works to the full extent. Officials have decided to evacuate the houses near Bammera Pothana Park in Vontimitta.
There was huge resistance from the people anywhere when officials attempted to remove the houses. People not allowed the officials in demolishing even in case of illegal occupied lands. It’s surprised that people have extend their co-operation to the officials in removal of their houses. RDO Prabhakar Pillai is monitoring these works personally. People said that they don’t have feeling for the loss of their personal properties.

Vontimitta people are worried on counter agitation in Vizaianagaram district for Sriramanavami Celebrations. Government has promised to compensate to the people who lost their houses. It has planned to construct Kodandarama Nagar colony in the same place.
