Mysterious suicide of IAS officer Dk.Ravi in Mangalore is attracting national attention. Even as people of Karnataka started protesting against his death demanding CBI probe, Siddharamaiah's Congress Govt at Karnataka is spinning various theories opposing CBI probe.

Siddharamaiah, CM of Karnataka, sought time till Monday even after Congress President Sonia Gandhi asked him to hand over the case to CBI following wide spread protests and opposition attack on the issue. Many suspect foul play and some say this delay tactic is only to erase whatever evidence was left at the suicide point. Already police commissioner's visit to the spot right after DK.Ravi's death raised suspicion.

Right from the beginning he and Karnataka government tried to paint suicide as the cause and reason being personal problems. Now they claim that DCP Dr. Rohini Sepat Katoch wlaimed that DK.Ravi had been “harassing her with pleas to break her marriage,” and she got 44 phone calls on the day of his death.

But Opposition say the female IPS officer has been made scapegoat by the Karnataka Government and mining mafia to save their corrupt face. JDS leader Kumaraswamy questioned how come one person make 44 calls in ten minutes. He said no one will tolerate if a honest police officer's character maligned after his death making a female officer a scapegoat.
