Well, it has almost been officially declared that the new Capital of Andhra Pradesh has been christened as Amaravathi and not Thullur. However, this has become the talk of the town. Many of them were quite happy with it but there were still a few who gave a red signal to it.
Andhra Pradesh
Former Minister and Congress leader Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad demanded the government to change the name of the state first. He said that similar to Tamil Nadu, even Andhra Pradesh should be named as Telugu Nadu. He demanded the state and central governments to take measures regarding this and change the name of the state as soon as possible.
Krishna river
He also said that on the banks of the Krishna river the statues of great Telugu people should be installed similar to Tank Bund. So, do you think there is any possibility for his demand to come true? Absolutely zero, right! He mentioned that he will be announcing his future plan on April 14th.
