In a major blow to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the Centre turned down the request for his visit to Singapore to pay respects to the Singapore's first Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew who breathed his last three days ago. As the Andhra Pradesh developmental sketch is being done by the Singapore engineers, as a respect he wanted to leave to Singapore.

The External Affairs Ministry simply rejected his request because Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making his visit as official delegation from India for the same reason. According to the rules, all the Chief Ministers, Ministers and higher officials must seek the permission from the External Affairs Ministry before they visit any other foreign country.

The External Affairs Ministry Turns down Chandrababu's request 


Without the political clearance, they will not be sent to abroad. As his request was rejected he asked the Ministry to include him in the official delegation led by Narendra Modi. However, the Centre is yet to decide upon the new proposal of Chandrababu who is particular to pay his visit to that country now.
