Murali Mohan is well known as Jayabheri MD than as an actor. He entered into politics with his close links to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu. Though he tasted defeat contesting for Rajamundry MP seat, he won in his second attempt. Murali Mohan as a president of Movie Artists Association (MAA) didnot oppose Rajendra Prasad when he announced his decision to contest MAA elections. However in the last minute he shocked all industry professionals by bringing Jayasudha in the elections. This resulted in Tollywood dividing vertically in support of Rajendra Prasad and Jayasudha. Murali Mohan who used to be non controversial till now is now facing allegations of all kind. Rivals are accusing him of indulging in wide spread discrepancies as President of MAA. O.Kalyan from Rajendra Prasad panel accused Murali Mohan of donating lakhs of MAA money to temples and also he played politics in CCL making lot of money. He questioned how could MAA money be used for other activities rather than taking care of poor artists.Seems MAA elections are swallowing Murali Mohan.
