However a village in Goa gave kissing shock banning alcohol,smoking,loud music, kissing in public much to the shock of all tourists. Reena Fernandes, deputy sarpanch of Salvador do Mundo, a picturesque village located at a short distance from Panaji informing the decision he said "There were a lot of unwanted things happening there (Salvador do Mundo) and causing irritation to people,"
Villagers have taken this decision
Villagers have taken this decision a month back and many places banners were hoisted stating "Commit no nuisance, visitors keep our village clean, drinking alcohol, smoking, loud music, kissing in public, nuisances in public are strictly prohibited here."
Why no kissing?
Some people like Gerad D Souza angrily questioned "Why no kissing? Why is the state cracking down against an expression of love? You can piss in public but you can't kiss in public? How logical is that?". Some like Patricia Nazareth said "People sometimes do get a bit too carried away kissing in public,"BJP led Government sometime back contemplated ban on skimpy outfits ion beaches citing violation of Indian traditions.
