Smrithi Irani, The Human Resource Development Minister, Had the bewilderment of her life when she found hidden camera in a trial room in Goa, where she was holidaying.Trying on clothes at an outlet of a reputed garment brand Smriti spotted a hidden camera positioned to record inside the small room and promptly reported the matter to the police.

She immediately called the local MLA, Michael Lobo, who filed an FIR with the police. The police has registered a case of outraging a woman's modesty. Irani has already recorded her statement with the cops.

Police said that  the camera was positioned in a way that the lens pointed right into the changing room and was not easily visible. "When we went through the recording, the entire video was recorded... Someone did mischief... Somebody has been watching the recordings," the cops said.

Police have already sealed the shop and is inspecting the showroom. A case has been filed under section 354 C (voyeurism) and 509 (intrusion into privacy) of Indian Penal Code against employees who were monitoring the cameras.

If this can happen to a Union Minister what can be the situation for a common woman in India?
