Dashing all rounder Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh once again blamed India captain MS Dhoni for his son's exclusion from the World Cup 2015 squad.Continuing his verbal attack on India captain Yograj has called him as "arrogant" and drew camparisons with Ravana, the demon king in epic Ramayana.
Yograj blasted MS Dhoni saying there will be a day when he will be left to beg and become penniless. Yograj said Dhoni had become "God in cricket" because of media.
‘’Dhoni is nothing. Media has crowned him as a great which he never deserved. Today he sits in front of media and rips off the media persons. He laughs at media who has given him so much hype’’ Yograj said. "If I was a journalist, I would have slapped Dhoni," Yograj told the news channel.
Its known that Yuvraj, who
helped India to win the 2011 World Cup, was ignored by the selectors for the
World Cup.Meanwhile Yuvraj took to Twitter to clarify his stand and
distanced himself from his father's remarks.
"Iv
got nothing to do with statements coming out in the media ! As iv said before
enjoyed playing under dhoni no issues at all," Yuvraj tweeted.
"I look forward to meet msd and congratulate him on becoming a father
!," he added in another tweet
Both Dhoni and Yuvraj are now preparing for the 8th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 8). Yuvraj was bought for a record Rs 16 crores by Delhi Daredevils. Dhoni is the captain of Chennai Super Kings.
