Information technology, this is one hot potato that was selling like anything at the end of millennium and the then CM of United AP,Chandrababu and Karnataka CM SM Krishna were the poster boys of IT revolution in India. Even Naidu’s rivals agree that it was his focus on IT which marked rise of Hyderabad.

But again as a matter of act, it was this sole focus which was blamed for his rout in 2004 elections including farmers distrust of Chandrababu for completely neglecting them. At the same time, even till bifurcation was done, Babu never left his focus on IT saying there will be IT zones and Hi—tech cities all over AP which worried people.

But slowly Babu realized that if IT alone was Hyderabad’s USP,Navy andhra Pradesh, his pet project can have many feathers in the cap while IT can be focused more for Vizag city which already has quite a few companies in this sector. Babu is making impressive publicity regarding other strengths of AP now.
Wherever he goes in India, or any other forums such as Davos, Japan,China, Singapore etc., Babu has been speaking about ports, logistics,Manufacturing hubs, Automobile hubs, tourist circuits, smart citiesand a host of other things which is pleasing to people who dreamholistic development of AP. Finally, Babu seems to have come out of his IT obsession, on practical terms.
