The scenario of GHMC elections is definitely an interesting one, going by the political coalitions and the ambition to host their party flag on Baldia building, which has caught the fascination of every political party in Telangana. Well aware that in case it contests the GHMC polls by its own, it would be more or less wiped out, TRS party is now banking on different strategies.

Given that they enjoy negligible support in Hyderabad, it is an open fact that KCR is poaching corporators from Congress and TDP for contesting on the TRS ticket so that he can appeal to GHMC voters, majority of them being non-Telanganites who are responsible for current Hyderabad.
Metro Rail Project
KCR is reportedly of the calculation that it would be better to organize GHMC polls in 2016 when at least two routes of Metro Rail is commissioned which shows KCR is hoping to project the ‘Metro Rail’ as his achievement before elections.
The Metro Rail Project was planned and pushed forward during United Andhra Pradesh and later took a backseat with KCR and his agitations being one of the reason. When Kiran was CM, KCR vowed to demolish Metro pillars and after coming to power, to appease MIM and also to satisfy his fancies, he demanded realignment. Today KCR wants Metro to be his political saviour as the poster boy of development!
