The recently concluded Telangana agitation led to the rather irrational bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the birth of Telangana state. While many factors contributed to it, the role of students cannot be ignored.  Keeping them as the main point of focus, TRS boss KCR escalated the momentum and brought about that pressure on the Delhi bosses.

Now, there is a reason why the students joined the protests. They believed in KCR’s theory of getting total jobs and full scale growth opportunities. Reality is, Telangana has come but nothing has changed. Even today, there is the same number of unemployed Telangana youth languishing in the Osmania University campus.

The situation is not looking good because the government vacancies in the Hyderabad zone comprising of Medak, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Ranga Reddy has got many eligible youngsters whose roots are with Andhra. These practical technicalities are actually causing a dissent among the Telangana student communities.

Given this situation, what would happen if students take an uprising on KCR. How is he going to deal with it? Now that there are no elections till 2019, will any agitation from the students worry KCR? What strategy will the students and the unemployed youth implement if their original purpose of fighting for Telangana is not served? The questions are many so let us wish some clear cut answers come soon.
