In a major jolt to the Andhra Pradesh state which has pinned all is hopes of being granted a special status sooner or later has been shattered right away. In a shocking reply to the questions posed by the TRS MP Kotha Prabhakar and TDP MP Maganti Babu, the Planning Minister Indrajit makes it clear that no state will be given special status in future.
This clearly implies that Andhra Pradesh has no more chance to get the Special status at any cost. Indrajit said " No state will be accorded special status from now onwards. For the allotment of funds to the states, the recommendations by the 14th commission will be implied."
He mentioned that the 11 states that have been given special status before will remain the same while no other state will be given that. So, it means that all the Delhi tours of Chandrababu and ministers have gone in vain. Should wait and see what's going to be the reply of Chandrababu.
